Notting Hill Carnival

This celebration of London’s multiculturalism in the Notting HIll area of West London has grown to become one of the most popular festivals of the London summer. As a celebration of the West Indian and Caribbean community of London, Notting HIll Carnival takes place this year on the last weekend, the bank holiday weekend (26th and 27th) of August and includes ticketed gigs, DJ’s, dancing and lots and lots of colour. The parade celebrates black british culture and is an all encompassing and inclusive weekend festival. If you’re staying at hotels in Paddington London during late August, be sure not to miss this vibrant celebration of heritage.

British Summer Time

Another summer must for those staying at the Park Grand Paddington Court. If you’re a music lover, there’s no excuses as this festival is right on your doorstep! British Summer Time takes place in Hyde Park and takes place over the first two weeks of July. The festiva this year has a stellar lineup for both young and old, with the likes of Bruno Mars, Eric Clapton, The Cure and Santana all making an appearance. With a family friendly atmosphere and a range of smaller shows and music events taking place around the vibrant festival park, you’ll be in for a treat this July.

Camden Fringe

Over July the area of Camden will be taken over by comedians, artists, dancers and actors as the Camden Fringe comes to town. One of the best fringe festivals in London, the Camden Fringe gives new writing a chance to shine and for audiences to discover their new favourite show. Whilst frolicking in the sun is all well and good, there’s bound to be plenty of rainy days to keep you inside, and what better way than to spend it with theatre.
