The Concert takes place in the evening, on 12th December and tickets must be purchased ahead of time. If you can’t make the concert itself, the Abbey also hosts a simpler candlelit Lessons and Carols service, in the days preceding Christmas. Located in Westminster, close to the river, the Abbey is easy to get to via Tube. Trafalgar Square

One for all the family, the annual Festive Family Carols by Candlelight takes place at St Martin-in-the-Fields Church, near Trafalgar Square. A charming and historic church, the service is packed with festive atmosphere with a pleasantly family-friendly event.

The service is limited to one hour only, giving you plenty of time to enjoy some great afternoon tea deals Londonand as well as the inspiring and dynamic voices from the Church’s own choir to lead the audience through a variety of favourite carols, there will also be some more light-hearted fun and entertainment for younger visitors.

The service starts at the family-friendly time of 4pm on 22 December, and tickets for the event can be purchased online. Close to Covent Garden and the Park Grand Hotelit’s a great place to conclude a day of festive fun in the city.

Battersea Home For Dogs & Cats Christmas Concert

If you love the sound of festive cheer with an extra side of fuzzy joy, this is the perfect Christmas carol service for you. The famous London animal shelter hosts two fundraising carol concerts in Chelsea, where you’ll get to take part in singing all your favourite Christmas songs, as well as nibble on mince pies and mulled wine.

As well as lots of obvious festive cheer, the concerts also feature a uniquely Battersea twist, with an appearance from some of their most beloved dogs, as well as the chance to pick up a goodie bag for your own four-legged friends. You’ll also find market stalls inside, providing the perfect place to find a last-minute gift.
